Easter is nearly here and it’s time to break out your best frock, and your most stunning (or at least entertaining) chapeau for all the world to see.
I’ve been waiting since Christmas to wear this 1980s navy and white, polka dot dress that Reese got me from our good friends at Lost in Drawers. When I saw it, I immediately thought, “This is what I’m wearing for Easter.”
But who says your Easter dress is only good for one day of the year? Not me. I plan on rocking this dress as much as I can and the best way to do that is to style it as many ways as you can think of.
Here are my three best looks.
Exhibit 1: Gone with the Wind Fabulous!
There is nothing more fun than a flirty hemline and I’ve known that since I was probably 3 years old. Now twirl, twirl, twirl.
Adding a structured jacket to the top of the dress in a bright, fun color keeps it classy with a punch.
Exhibit 2: Don’t Be Cardi for the Party!
The calendar might say spring, but where we live? Baby it’s cold and this boyfriend-style cardigan in a bright yellow is warm with a pop of “Hello!”
A statement necklace, a slimmer belt at the waist and even some statement tights make me ready for the Easter Egg roll at the White House (if I could have smuggled a little kid in there.)
Exhibit 3: Oh, Chambray!
Nothing like a denim shirt to make the dress instantly more relaxed, and the chambray color makes it a subtle contrast to the navy background of the dress.
This girl is ready for a casual brunch with friends. Happy Easter Day!
Until next time.
